Steve Lutes is a FSQA and Supply Chain professional with 35+ years’ experience in the food & beverage industry, in a variety of corporate and supply chain roles. Lutes served as Global Vice President, Food Safety & Quality Assurance for Domino’s, the world’s largest Pizza company, and led strategic initiatives to drive a food safety culture, creating an end-to-end FSQA governance process, implementing a risk-based food safety approach for retail / store governance, and enhancing supply chain Food Safety Management Systems. Steve also participated on Domino’s Supply Chain Advisory Council with franchisees to drive food safety and product quality improvements and led Domino’s crisis management process.
Prior to that, Steve spent 17 years in the Spirits / adult beverage industry working for Diageo (#1) and Beam Suntory (#3) in manufacturing and corporate roles, including FSQA, Technical Services, Environmental, Health & Safety, Operations (Bottling & Distilling) and Engineering. He was a member of the Beam Suntory’s Corporate Responsibility Committee, Crisis Management Committee, Supply Chain’s Risk & Compliance Committee, and led the Global Technical Steering Committee.
Steve joined ReposiTrak, a supply chain and food safety technology company, in May 2023, as Partner. He also co-leads a QSR Food Safety Networking Group focused on sharing best practices.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering, from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Bellarmine University. He, and his wife, have a passion for foster care and helping disadvantaged youths achieve their potential. He is a horse racing enthusiast, enjoys spending time with family, and an occasional round of golf. He also enjoys a healthy debate with open minded people.
